I've had problems with people blatantly ignoring my requests not to alter or sell my images in the past, so on this page you will find more details as to what you may or may not do with the images on this site, written in plain English.

This is meant to educate you a bit, not pound you with legal jargon. You're legally bound to respect all copyright laws, regardless of whether or not you understand them, so it may be a good idea to research Copyright Protection Laws and Intellectual Property Rights on Google.com.  You may also wish to research Creative Commons for images that you can use.

As the images on this site are my intellectual property, I reserve all rights and have the final say on how my images may be used, which may or may not include the items listed below.

DO NOT GO BY THE MISCONCEPTION THAT ANYTHING POSTED ON THE INTERNET IS PUBLIC DOMAIN!

What You Can Freely Do
You don't need my permission to perform the following:

  • You may freely browse the images I have created for this site.

It would be rather counterproductive to have a site for pictures if you couldn't look at them, wouldn't it?

What You Cannot Freely Do
You need my permission to perform the following:

  • You MAY NOT edit, alter, or make any changes to the images for this site. This includes, but is not limited to: removing the image branding, resizing the image, recompressing the image, and enhancing the image.

In other words, leave the images as they are, or I may get pissed off.

  • You MAY NOT create derivative works of the images I have created for this site, nor may you use the images I have created for this site in any of your own graphical projects.

This is a subset of the "Do Not Make Changes" line, but I felt it deserved mentioning anyhow. Again, don't do it, or I may get a lawyer involved.

  • You MAY NOT sell the images I have created for this site in any form or format. Period. This includes, but is not limited to: prints, posters, printed publications (such as magazines), online publications (such as pay-to-view porn archives), articles of clothing (such as t-shirts), computer accessories (such as mouse pads), and body art.

In other words, you cannot use my images for profit AT ALL. This is a huge no-no. Don't do it. It would be really stupid, and a huge violation of copyright law. It'll get you thrown into court. And I'll be one pissed-off bugger.

  • You MAY NOT claim ownership to anything depicted in the images I have created for this site (unless you are the actual owner).

In other words, don't put them on your Yahoo Profile and say, "These are my boots." Except in certain circumstances, it's not you, it's me, and they're not your boots, they're my boots.

  • You MAY NOT archive or place the images I have created for this site on any other network computer. In other words, you may not put them on your website, even if it's a page that states they're images you've found on the net, regardless of whether or not you give me proper credit.

One notable (and unavoidable) exception here is the cached version your browser saves.  Please note, the computer you are using to browse this site counts as a network computer if it is on the internet.  While I appreciate you would like to save images to your hard drive to enjoy at a later time, and I am careful to watermark images so you know where they came from, I would feel better if you simply returned to my site to view the images instead.   Likewise, I would appreciate it if you did not post my images to Yahoo Groups or similar forums; just point them to my website instead!

Failure to respect and abide copyright protection laws can result in legal repercussions.
For your own protection, become familiar with copyright protection laws and intellectual property rights.

"Get To Know the Law... Before the Law Gets To Know YOU!"

Or, in short... Use some common sense!

I'm normally an easy-going sort of guy, but I've been burned once,
and I'm not going to get burned again.

Most things in the "Cannot Do" section would require a license (and licensing fees, royalties, or whatever). If you really really want to use one of the images on my site for your publication, t-shirt, tattoo, or whatever, you will have to contact me with your request, and we can work out some sort of deal.

Just don't go pushing ahead without asking and thinking I'll never find out.

I'll find out.

It may be a while, but I will find out.

And I will not be happy when I do.
